Private issue. In addition to medals "officially" issued by the Vatican, there are many private issues to fill the demand of collectors and others interested in the pope or the event. I just purchased a few inexpensive but interesting medals for the 2000 Jubilee. Also. not quite sure why a couple of them have the MCML date (1950) - there was also a Jubilee proclaimed just 8 years before in 1975.
