Hey guys

Anyone care to tell me what they think a fair value would be on this coin? Greatly appreciate any replies:

Retail is around $210. With the Details label, $125-$150 would seem fair.

Even at $125, I think that is too much. The date is plentiful in problem-free examples and I think that is what most folks would want.

There's currently a similar ANACS graded coin on ebay with 14 bids going for $160 (cleaned EF40 details).

I would be inclined to offer the coin with several good images and a no questions asked return on ebay. I would think about 125 as a buy it now would be a fair mid retail for that coin.
  • Thanks for the replies so far guys. I paid 129 for it. It just arrived today, actually and is an obvious clean (abrasion marks all around). The slab looks tampered with. Do you see that first 25% of the horizontal slab frame between the "circle" and label? See how it looks white? Stressed plastic. Left side is where the injection mold ports are. any thoughts?

Take that coin and crack it out to send to either NGC or PCGS, it may not have the details on the label.

$125 is not a bad price under that label.

If it has obvious abrasion marks everywhere there is no chance it will grade cleanly. Don't waste money resubmitting it.

I don't buy problem coins, especially when a readily available, problem-free one could be had for only a bit more money. So I am biased when I say "return it".

I doubt the holder was compromised and the coin swapped, if that's what OP is getting at. Why put a substitute coin in a problem holder?
