IF you were Wei right now in Dallas you might be at a hotel and not have NFL network limiting the option.

I struggled last weekend being a Yankees and NY Giants fan, I was flipping back and forth and just didn't feel very satisfied that I saw enough of either game. Now after the Yankees dismal hitting performance, that problem is gone.

    Go skins!!!!!

As boring as the football game is right now, I'd be happy to watch the San Fran Giants.

Neither. Giants couldn't buy a run and couldn't get a single clutch hit in a cowtown hitter's park and my hotel doesn't get the NFL Network. Besides, tonight's game will finally get the Alex Smith apologists to reluctantly admit something we've known since 2005: that this team has a garbage quarterback who's obviously a draft bust that the local feel good media is propping up like a crutch. The team should've signed Peyton Manning. Manning in a wheelchair would be an upgrade over a healthy Alex Smith.

The 49ers team of the last few years reminds me of the 1990's Steelers. A talented team with only a flawed quarterback keeping them away from ultimate success.

    Win one, lose one!
Now that I am back after flipping back and forth between the 2 ballgames...
It would be nice for the Giants to win the pennant but nobody is going to beat Detroit in the series.
As for the 49ers...I was at Sunday's game and it was horrible. I did however get to meet and spend 2 hours with Joe Montana.
Came home with some signed footballs and other stuff for my son.
Joe is a primo down to earth guy!
    Best.

If Wei had stayed at the Omni, he could have watched the NFL network...

Or he could have hit up the nice sports bar at the hotel and watched them both at the same time!

Cheapskate Wei decided that if was going to rent a car anyway, he might as well stay somewhere else and pay less than the Omni even though he passed through the Omni and it looked like a nice place. But my place has free breakfast...

In a nutshell for the Giants: No offense + crappy pitching = Laying the biggest egg of the month west of the Mississippi.

Yeah the Niners won. I can only imagine how good this team would be if they had a halfway decent offense. 13 stinking points against the Shegulls? That's pitiful.

Pitiful but not as pitiful as the Steelers losing to the Raiders image

    Wait...wait...wait..the Raiders image

Wow. The Cards picked a bad time to forget that you need to hit the ball... I'm bummed- but hey, we had a good run this year.
    Congrats to the Giants...
Now, do the NL proud...take this momentum and use it to full advantage against the Tigers.

Gosh, first the Giants were dead in St. Louis, as some people on the board seemed to think, then, as others on the board stated, "Nobody will beat Detroit in the Series". Well, well, well... and here we are. CONGRATULATIONS GIANTS!!!! It's nice that this happened around Halloween with all the extra orange color floating around.
  • JBNJBN Posts: 1,895 ✭✭✭✭✭
Parade this Wed, on Halloween. Should be a real event....with the goofiness that only SF can provide, and cause the rest of the country to roll their eyes.

The difference in crowd enthusiasm between us and Detroit was amazing. It is like the Detroit fans weren't even there. How can you not be cheering for your World Series team? Maybe it was the cold weather.

Picking the MVP from this group that is more of a team than a collection of individuals must have been really tough, but the Panda joined Babe Ruth in the 3 HR in one game club. Anytime you share company with Babe Ruth is a real accomplishment.

    Congratulations to my home team!!!

Truely amazing performance by the SF Giant's.
I love them and really did not expect this outcome.
They truely are as has been pointed out a team rather than a group of individuals.
They were like that in 2010 also.
There goes ticket prices for next year again!
They went up in price in 2011 after they won last time!
    Great baseball!

Oops they did it again! Second title in three years.

Victory parade will be on Halloween day. It doesn't get any better than that.

My only regret? In 2010 I couldn't catch the festivities because I was traveling to the Baltimore show. This time I'm leaving for Hawaii on Wednesday so I'll miss the party again. image

Well..since I've been rockin' the icon since I joined up here, I suppose I may as well chime in too....just an amazing team effort, every player on that roster helped get it done...I'll be at the parade once again image

I actually think it's pretty cool they're doing the parade on halloween, what with the team colors being black and orange. Of course being in SF it'll be an "interesting" parade.

I don't really like baseball, yet I watched WS game 4 last night and rooted for SF, as a local.
Conversely, I love football, yet refuse to watch SF49 on account of our QB who cannot see the field. He's like PCGS grading our coins based only on viewing 1/3rd of the coin.
    We're all born MS70. I'm about a Fine 15 right now.
