Mariano 1st Save Ticket Stub Dilemma

I recently purchased a 1996 Yankees season ticket booklet that has every home game from the 1996 season. The booklet includes Mariano Rivera's very first save on May 17, 1996. It also has his 2nd save which was the following day. I am wondering if I should tear out the 2 tickets and submit it to PSA for authentication or should I sell the booklet without tearing the tickets out. From that season you also have Dwight Gooden's no-hitter and Derek Jeter's first Yankee Stadium home run.

I am looking for opinions. Keep the booklet intact or rip out the tickets and submit to PSA?

What shape is the booklet in? Before tearing it up why not put it on eBay for a high opening bid? That way the "rippers" can bid on it as well as the "don't rippers".

If it doesn't sell you can rip to your hearts content.

I don't think any of those 4 events have enough significance to warrant much demand on their own. I would keep the booklet intact and you'd still always have the option of tearing it up.
  • Thank you for your input guys.

Thats 3 votes to rip and 2 votes to remain intact.

I've got to think that the greatest relief pitcher of all-time's first save is worth a lot money. The only one I have ever seen on ebay is a ticketmaster type ticket once.

AGREE!! Give it a 30 day window with an obscene BIN and accept offers.
  • I put it up for 5 days at $1500. Maybe I'll get a bite. Again, thanks for your input.
