Product hit the streets yesterday (Oct 17)!!!
Okay, ending that line with a few exclamation points is about the extent of my excitement. I busted a case of this stuff last night and it was quite unimpressive. Unless these 4 cards are going to sell for about $600 in total... and they're not bad hits... this is a money draining/losing product. Perhaps the worst I busted this year.
Like regular Bowman, it's now oversaturated with prospects... just with Chrome, it seems there are less promising prospects than in the regular Bowman wax product. There are also way fewer cards per pack... per box... and thus, way fewer per case. For example, as case yields 864 cards (not many already)... of which, just over 300 of those cards are actually part of the base Bowman Chrome set... you know, of actual major leaguers you know and follow.
An entire case did not even yield a complete 220 card Bowman Chrome set! I ended up 3 cards short... with only about 80 doubles!
If anyone else has been busting this product... and you're either not going to bust enough to try to complete the set OR you're busting so much you'll have plenty of extras... I'm looking to trade for the following 3 base cards:
54, 64, and 119
I'd be thrilled to make a trade here... as I have little desire to spend another dime on this product!
I'm sure plenty of you will love this product, it's a annual staple of the hobby... but this year, I was very unimpressed.
