Ok, bad pics but can you tell if this is an 1873 Open 3 or Closed 3 half?

Wishful thinking says Open 3 but so worn, I can't tell. the upper curve of the 3 is interesting as its much finer - narrower - than any of the other 73's I have to compare. Are there any diagnostics that could help differentiate Open vs Close without the spacing being visible? Took 3 pics, but I just can't get the clarity much better....

the top knob of the 3, or at least what part is visible looks rather big which suggests closed 3, but images are tough to judge on this one
you may possibly be able to also use the 8. the openings of the 8 in the closed 3 coin appear larger than the open 3 coin
.
The remaining detail on your coin is very weak in the area of the bottom of the shield, but it does appear that you have the closed 3 variety.
