1984 Fleer Update - Newest addition

Just picked up this Puckett. Couldnt resist with the centering on this. Had to add this to the collection along with my Gooden that I already had.

I remember when those Gooden cards first came out. Dealers were asking and getting $10 to $12 apiece. That was an outrageous price at the time for a new release single card.

At its peak the Gooden might have been the hottest card of the mid 80's (could argue for Mattingly, Canseco)

It never registers or sinks in for me when i see the card selling for so low. It was such a legendary card back then

  • That's a REALLY nice Puckett, congrats! Very nice centering, truly an awesome card from an awesome set.

1984 was a good year for nice looking cards.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
