Ryan 8, FAIL

Solid 8
I love seeing cards like this and the 1973 Frank Howard 8 that is currently on Ebay. I get cards back that are graded 7 and I shake my head because I can't see why it couldn't pull an 8 then I see a gem like this.

From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

Wow both these are bad but the Howard is way worse IMO.

Wow,
Hard to imagine how that Ryan got an 8, especially compared to other PSA 8s that are bordering on perfection and PSA 7s that are very solid cards.
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

kiss of death grade.
That Howard is the worst I've seen in a 'straight 8'. Obvious mechanical errors.
the Ryan has bids on it. buy the card not the case.

<< <i>Yikes! PSA centering standards for 9 is 65-35. Don't think that one qualifies. Love the double fish eyes on the pitcher logo too. >>
What is the general rule of thumb for grading cards with those fish eyes on them? Does 1 typically knock it off of a 10? What about 2-3? I am debating sending some cards in that have one or two.
In particular, I have a Rickey Henderson RC that has one. Other than that, it's a blazer

PSA needs to buy these cards.

Let me preface my comments by saying I am not an expert. With the disclaimer out of the way:
Based on my experience, fish eyes sometimes bother PSA and sometimes do not. To that end, I have been unable to gain a strong feeling on them from the grader's perspective. I am left with the impression that there is not one and that simply the fish eye will have to be taken into consideration when considering the overall appeal of the card. Given that, I generally avoid grading commons with fisheyes but will still send in stars with fisheyes if they otherwise appear to meet the grade I am shooting for. If I had a Henderson rookie with a fisheye that otherwise appears to be a blazer, I would send it in no questions asked. For $5.00 it is worth the gamble. Depending on the placement of the fisheye, you could get a lower grade or a PD qualifier but that may make it a crack and resubmit.
In the end, simply ask yourself "how does the card with the fisheye look from an overall appeal viewpoint"?
