iPhone 5 Photo Fun:

This arrangement took me all of seven seconds to set up (just used ambient outdoor lighting through the office window).
Shot a photo within seconds.
Put the box away: another couple of seconds.
From deciding to shoot a coin photo to the end- all about a minute!
(Only edit was cropping and shrinking.)
My Set-Up:

The Results:

Not too shabby for a quickie photo!

haha well done. not far off of what my first camera set-up looked like!
if you got a couple lights in the right position you'd have some exceptional camera phone images there!
the image you provided isn't too shabby on size and clarity.
way to enlarge the original image as well, something important that seems to escape a lot of people.

My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
<< <i>I just got my iphone 5.. great detail ... any special settings .. how did you up load the photo ? >>
As soon as I plug the iPhone into my Mac, iPhoto opens up and the photo is downloaded. Quick crop and resize and all set to go.
I could also tap, "Auto Correct" I come up with this image:

is that 64 a dcarr piece?
if it is, how do you think it got all that stuff on the obv?
if it is not a dcarr piece, my question is moot - although i would be curious if it is not, where it came from

It is- from the original flip although I did have it housed in a Dansco album for awhile. I think most of that speckled toning would easily come off- just didn't do so for the photo.

A circulated Kennedy proof?!
Get that one graded (anything outside of Genuine) and I'd enrich your Paypal account $100. for it.
(Nice looking, very cool coin!)
