But I am not into proofs that much any more.
The rims give it away.

The colors don't look "right", I don't like the left obv portions, and the rims, as Pat mentions, don't look right to me for the coloring.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I think its NT , I have seen a lot of kennedy halfs in those "the presidents sets" tone that way. The sets usually had a 40% half and the other coins were clad and they were all in a single piece of heavy cardstock sealed with cellophane
Here is one ebay listing
The cardboard in these will even turn the clad quarters purple.
The kennedys in these sets aren't always uncirculated though some appear to be polished
type2,CCHunter.
You can see where the painting stops on the rims and the doctor switched colors

If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
Dipped and put away without a good rinse.
and it sets us apart from practitioners and consultants. Gregor
This makes the most sense to me.
I knew it would happen.

So, a dipped coin is AT?

I was confused about that statement as well.
.....................................................
Whether or not PCGS would grade it or not is another question.
<< <i>Question about a DDO? Pic's in first post >>
Not seeing anything to believe it is a DDO. Sorry
<< <i>Too lousy to be AT, a doctor would not have stopped with this amount of toning. Most of the major fako jobs are fully toned. Besides it's in keeping with a lot of other toned proofs of the era.

You must start somewhere. Maybe a doctor in training is "perfecting his art."

Agreed.

Yes, I believe toning introduced by a chemical bath is artificial toning. If the chemical bath had NOT caused toning the un-toned coin would, by definition, not be artificially toned.

It looks like a DDO, but is also AT
Like Pat said, the rims are a dead give away.
