Any serious 61 collectors looking for # 492 Fairly Green Back? Card looks to be a solid 6 ink smudge in right boarder will keep it from a 7 I believe it is the hardest card in the set. Be for I list it, thought I would try to save us both a little money. Happy to send scans. Troy. .

you can do one of these....
you can do a... ttt (to the top)
you can type anything you want, but try not to do it more than once a day. Continually bumping threads during the day pushes other BST threads further down the page or completely off the page. Its not really fair to those who follow the rules.
Good luck and enjoy!

<< <i>What makes the card unusual? I thought all 61s have green backs. >>
On the back of Ron Fairly’s card (#490), the area below the bottom stitch of the baseball (where the card number is located) is either white or green. Thanks to the alert eyes of Beckett Marketplace Dealer Jim Tripodi (Diamond Jim’s) for the discovery. Hobby veterans Dan Hitt (Senior Manager – Sports Data Publishing) and long-time “Errors and Variation” columnist Rich Klein agree that this is a legitimate, newly discovered variation.
The above was taken from an article written on October 10, 2008.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>Thanks for the explanation. I have a complete 61 set, but was unaware of the variation. >>
You are welcome. I'm sure you checked your Fairly already, right? LOL
