new mint survey - 100th anni buffalo and fractionals

Just did the new mint survey, asked about a

reverse proof buffalo for the 100th anniversary,

fractional buffalo proofs and ms series. looks like those could be coming back

any design changes to the buffalo's ( just like the plats) reverse/obverse changes

looks like we will see these in the next 2 years.

Label Wars is worse i my opinion, how many labels and autos combos do we need. I would rather have a different size coin, than 42 different labels with the same coin

A one-year, 2013 Buffalo issue would make sense, though I would hope that they would just do fractionals in the standard Proof finish.

This has been talked here for about the last three years. Fractionals and an RP will be sold in 2013. PLEASE don't buy them for all of the aforementioned reasons + 50 more "good" reasons that I'm sure will come up. image

I just completed the survey. My votes were for the RP but against the fractionals. I once again stated that they (the mint) had far too many issues for the average collector to keep up with.

I want them to make an incuse, reverse proof, bi-metalic, 100th anniversary buffalo with a 3 legged buffalo (I know, it defeats the 100th anniversary thing, but so what!).

Why not, I'm in. How about a 1/4 oz. gold piece In unc? About the same size as a nickel.
Still have my 08 4 pc. Unc. Buff set in the OGP, wish I could have bought multiples.

WOW, didn't get this survey. If they do, might be time to cash in big time on the 08W fractionals as they would no longer be unique.

The 2008 fractionals might no longer be unique, but any 2013 fractions would be MANY times the 2008 mintage.

Yes, but a 2013 would be much cooler! And, in this game, popular is KING. That said, I don't believe the '08 fractionals will be hurt by the 2013.

A 2013 mintage may or may not be much greater than the 2008 mintage. It's likely that the price of gold in 2013 will be high enough that a four-coin set could cost over $4,000.
  • proof and reverse proof set in the 1/4 size similar to the original i think would be nice. plus making it more affordable

This is one of the things that killed stamp collecting...a glut by the producers
