What happens when you store coins in felt coin cases?

Great looking coins. Can we assume the coins were white when you put them in the case? Just remember to take them out before they get too dark.

I feel like I may be going to get some felt boxes, my dealer sells them cheap like cigar boxes!

I've got a couple morgan sets like that that have been sitting in velvet for a few years now... nothing but splotchy specks so far.

Are you more worried about the golden edges or the sea blue center? I'm more wary of the latter personally.

The Morgans will definitely, the Peace dollar is another story. Most TPG's probably would not slab it.
I'll post the reverse later( looks simaliar to the obverse)

I will assume they were. I actualy have two sets. I picked them up from a dealer that I know, he finally
dug through his safe and parted with some of his sets. I don't think these coins have seen the light of day
for a very long time.

Felt has been known to be a bad storage system for some time due to some chjemicals etc used in its manufacture. The coin colors are unnatural looking anyway. The gold/brown is the most common color in silver, certainly the most common secondary ("natural") color which says "DIPPED!". Coloring books are more fun and do less damage to the hobby IMHO.

What happened to me was: A lady sold a bag of them to me, so I sent most to PCGS. They tone in most any kind of felt.
