Ebay Immediate Payment Required

I just did a buy it now, and was told that someone else could buy the card until I paid for it. The item page, as initially displayed, didn't say this. I discovered this "minor detail" when I selected "See details" under payments. It really is poor design to hide "immediate payment required".

Who knows what other "unimportant" details will be hidden by ebay in the future.

    I just HATE the immediate payment B$. If you must have immediate payment, then I want my item delivered overnight to my door. If I see something I want and it's an immeiate payment required, I shop somewhere else.

    By the way, I pay immediately about 80% of the time.

    If this is being hidden by eBay..............shame on you. I really fail to understand how eBay can have a 7 day payment policy and then let sellers require immediate payment. As a seller I NEVER will list this way.

    It's an option when posting something for sale by the seller, not hidden by eBay. If they choose immediate payment, then yes, you have to pay upon purchase. Its good and bad. It warns off non-payers. Its a luxury as a sale is automatic payment, especially for high end stuff. But I would imagine it reduces sales at the same time. I dont do it myself and I usually do not buy when it is listed that way.

    I think you were looking at it wrong. When you hit "buy it now" you go to a page with payment options and an invoice, but that is just a review page, you haven't confirmed the deal yet. If you click continue, that confirms the deal, but you don't have to pay immediately.

    The only thing I don't like about it is often I am looking to buy other items from the same seller and this does not allow you to combine shipping. Otherwise I am fine with it.

    This order was free shipping,so it wasn't issue. Hiding "immediate payment" requirement really isn't a good business strategy.

    Add items to your cart - then go through the checkout. Then you can combine the shipping.
