Raw Coins - Description and Approx. Conservative Grade and Description:
Earlier Dates:
1918 - Ch Vf - Borderline XF: Original Looking. Breast plate defined and separated. Many skirt lines visible. Eagle loaded with feather detail only worn at eagle breast - $65
1918-D - VG - Lower grade but a nice original look. Charcoal tone and problem free for grade - $$$SOLD$$$
1920 VF - Nice coin - Just slightly less detail than the 1918 - probably a VF20-25 - Nice color and problem free - $$$SOLD$$
1920-S: VF - Color is a little splotchy - Looks just a little off - Hard to put into words- doesn't appear cleaned. maybe dipped? Circulated brown and silver tone. Full breast plate on Liberty. Light wear on eagle with most feathers remaining. - $$$SOLD$$$
1921-S (Key Date): G4 - Rims weak in places - typical looking G4 1921 Walker (21-S) - $$$SOLD$$$
1933-S: VF 20/25: Medium grey color - original - A little less feather detail on eagle compared to the previous VF coins. Still nice coin: - $$$SOLD$$$
All below coins are "white" unless otherwise described.. 95% are AU or BU (2 are XF and sold at silver melt price - A couple selling for melt - Many coins are $5 above melt)
1934-D - XF+ - I don't call this coin AU .. XF is more like it to me .. Lightly cleaned although not harshly. Decent: $25
1935-D - AU50 - Lustrous and white - a few scattered tiny ticks - nothing serious. Average+ coin: - $$$SOLD$$$
1935-S - AU55 - Nice coin. Original look. Luster and detail nice .. very little tone although hints of it are noted - $49
1936-D- AU58: Very nice. Soft and satiny luster in full cartwheel - This is the color and look I like a lot. Pleasing with virtually no marks to speak of. Very nice IMHO - $35
1936-S - AU55 - Bright luster - Probably dipped .. A little bright.. Still, lustrous and the detail is sharp .. Minimal wear - $30
1937 - AU55: Softer and a little subdued but a more pleasing look. Nearly full detail and good luster. Nice coin. - $20
1937-S - AU53 - Similar look and detail to the 1937 coin - Nice detail and luster - Natural looking nice coin - $$$SOLD$$$
1938- AU58 - Fully lustrous and detailed.. Just a hint of possible rub on eagle breast so will call this a choice AU coin - natural with bright luster and mark free fields. Nice coin IMHO: - $$$SOLD$$$
1939 - Appears fully mint state to me - MS63 quality - hard to detect any rub - nice smooth surfaces and satiny luster. Nice. - $45
1939-D -AU55 - Lustrous with trace of rub on highest points.. A few minor ticks are widely scattered on the fields or on the skirt - $$$SOLD$$$
1940-S - Very lustrous and fully mint state in the MS64 quality. Sharply struck and nice eye appeal. Small diagonal mark in the field to the right of Ms Liberty above the motto down and into the skirt and runs off and on above the date. Although it does not appear to be a scratch, it is a line - maybe a very light "scratch".. I need a loop to see it as it is very hard to see and minor in my opinion. Hard to describe without seeing it in hand. Maybe it is a staple scratch but it is not very deep. - Discounted by 50% or more .... $35
1941 - AU58 - Very slight friction on the eagle breast. Fully lustrous and detailed. - $20
1941-D - AU58 - as like the 1941 a trace of possible friction on the eagle breast - full luster and detail - nice coin - $20
1941-S - AU58/MS61 - Hard to tell on this one - weaker strike as defined by head and left hand. Otherwise fully lustrous and clean and mark free fields .. Nice coin - the 41-S is perhaps the only "key" of the short set (1940-47D) - $39
1942 - AU55/58 - Fully lustrous and nice with a hint of rub on highest points - $18
1942-D - MS62/63 - Appears fully mint state with nice detail and luster. A bit soft on the strike as defined by head, thumb and overall strike. Nice coin overall - $35
1942-S - MS63/64 - Very lustrous. Sharp detail and mark free - One of the better coins - $40
1943 - AU58+ - Borderline - true slider -- One of the only coins with a brownish/rusty hue of overtone on obverse. Probably a faint hint of rub - Pretty nice - I think the light tone adds to the appeal even for this ultra common issue: - $18
1943-D - MS63/64: Very nice - Soft and satiny luster - very appealing look. Really natural - Great detail and no problems whatsoever - $45
1943-S - XF Details - Just noticed now (I haven't inspected these closely for over a year) - Some small rim nicks at 12:00 - Otherwise XF details are sharp - Basically a bullion value coin though - $15 (Melt)
1944 - AU55 - Appears to have a hint of friction. Otherwise lustrous and nicely detailed - $15 (Melt)
1944-S - MS62 - Full luster but strike is a little mushy - a little soft - Luster is full and bright. Nice coin overall - $40
1945 - AU53/55 - Typical AU 1940s Walker as the others above - lustrous with hints of rub. No problems otherwise - $15 (Melt)
1945-D - MS63 - Nice and fully lustrous - Blast white if any are - Full detail - Nice head detail as well - one of the nicer coins - $40
1945-S - MS63 - Very similar to the 45-D - Nice coin - Looks almost identical to the 45-D - $40
1946 - AU58 - Looks like full detail although a trace of rub likely exists - toned just a paler shade of grey/silver. Lustrous - $18
1946-S - XF45 - Nearly AU but not quite to me anyway - Nice coin but just a choice XF to me - $15 (Melt)
1947 - MS64 - Nice strike with almost full head - Left thumb is separated. Fully lustrous - great eye appeal and luster - $45
