Grade opinions on this 94 Morgan dollar please...

This one's going in for grading with some others. I was wondering what the Morgan experts think of this one? I'm not a Morgan expert.....Thanks for the help....CHD

hmm, 50 sounds right.

what the heck ever happened with the other one you put up here, i think it was a 95-O and there were some huge grading speculations about it. i'd love to know if anything came about from it!!!!!

Stronger than 50 IMO, so I'll say 53...not enough luster for a 55 and too many nicks on the cheek

It's got 55 details, but all those hits will "nick" it down a notch to 53...

50/55. IMO one of those dates that's better off encapsulated.

AU50 to AU55 has got to be the range.

I would call it AU53, but it will probably be netgraded to AU50. The design details have the strength of an AU55 coin, but the luster is simply not there. Also, the TPGs will likely penalize you for the contact marks.

AU53 is my gut feel, but I can't see ANY luster and really there should be at least a little. I'm hoping it's just the photo.

50 at best. Can't possibly be a 45 either.

I also feel like PCGS could genuine it for one problem or another. It has 55/58 details but has absolutely no luster to be seen.

Wow, if you did a closeup of the cheek it'd be a 35/40. Luster in the fields pulls it back up but IMO the cheek is just to focal in having that many problems & this is echoed on the reverse at the eagle breast to a lesser degree. I was going to give in a 50, but the "rasping" on the cheek is going to pull it down to 45.

That coin looks like it rolled down a mountain. The details are great, but the hits are too many. I'm in the 45 set, if not bb set.

I would give it a AU50 but PCGS might limit the grade to XF45 due to the numerous hits on the obverse.

I do appreciate all the help. This is a tough coin for me to grade. Because of the date and it's rarity it will be submitted to our host for grading. It does have nice detail but because of all the hits it make this one tough. Thanks again for all of the help.....CHD
