New pics of an old favorite, a toner even!

This coin(and others) just completed a coast-to-coast trip. First to NJ for some beans and then to Mark Goodman for some great pics, just thought I'd share this very nice rare toner in my collection.

coinbuf, your 1881 Morgan imaged by "The Man" is spectacular.
I'm not a big Morgan collector.......but your toned Morgan is my punishment....what a looker!!!

No I purchased this coin at a small monthly show about 8yrs ago and submitted it myself; the seller was selling it as a 64 but I thought it was better and ATS agreed with a MS65 grade so not in an old fattie or ANACS holder. Its been sitting in the SD box for yrs untill I recently decided to send it for some beandip and pics.

Now that's a pretty Morgan! MS65 sounds like a fair grade. A single blemish on Liberty's lower cheek keeps it from 66, if you ask me. Other than that, the clarity of the fields is consistent with a 66 grade any day.

That's a very pleasing Morgan. One thing about a Mark Goodman image........ they look like a coin, rather than a picture of a coin.

Image was done by Mark Goodman, he is the best imo.

Terrific obverse luster with the typical colors seen on an 1881-p, when they are found nicely toned. I consider these colors attractive, but my experaince is that typically NGC will not give such coins a *. I have never seen a rainbow gem or near gem 1881-p, or even one colorful enough to add to my collection in 40 years. The grade of MS64 does seem about right.

I might be wrong, but I think CAC only puts beanies on NGC and PCGS coins.
