Some more Large Cents...

These are the rest of the Large Cents I found at the show, but I had to trade my 1832, 1833 and 1852 coins in so that I could "reconfigure" my collection to include these:

Very nice! Everyone appreciates the classic head, as they should, but I've also found the 1829 to be elusive in choice condition,
such as the one you have displayed here.

    Love the overall glossiness.

What oil is safe for copper? Is it olive oil?

braddick, I don't know what oil it is but I'd guess that it's either Blue Ribbon or Coin Care. Periodic light brushing with a protectant seems to be good practice with copper, mainly to keep any contaminants from remaining in contact with the metal, but it does add gloss. I don't think that olive oil would be the protectant of choice because after all, it is an organic oil and would be subject to the formation of acids over time. My guess would be a high grade machining oil, like sewing machine oil or 3-in-One oil. In this day & age, some type of CNC machining oil might be good, but I'm not about to start experimenting on my coppers.image

CLassic heads such as that 1810 with nice color and surfaces are infrequently encountered in today's market.
