I have the opportunity tomorrow to buy the following. Any idea of value is greatly appreciated

Aussie 1925 1d VF

Roman Republic M Lucilius silver coin 101 BC I would call it high VF or EF. That's all the information I have.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regarding the M Lucilius, it averages as cheap at $60 for aVF to about $150 for EF. Nice toning or something can add a bit more value but not much.

do a completed listing search on ebay for the british token there are many of them on the list.

I would go with the Aussie 1925 PENNY any time you can buy a series kEY at less than 1/2 catalog jump on it, if you change direction later on it will be easiest to liquidate.

Anyone know of the first token listed? It belong to a friend who would like more info on it.

As for the first token, it is listed in Rulau's reference Latin American Tokens but he does not give pricing (except for the 1/4 issue in Copper, 18mm diameter for which he lists a catalog value of $75 in VF)

The only info I can give you on the one you have is that the Rulau # is Ycy 14 (known in brass and copper) 20 mm diameter
