To convert a 1 Kilo Kookaburra 1996 proof to ASE's (bullion to bullion at a B&M). I don't expect oz per oz conversion obviously, just what a fair offer for B&M to give.

APMEX has those listed for $1360 they don't have a buy price listed but maybe you should give them a call. It would give you an idea of what they see as the spread . You could post it here for trade and see if someone makes a decent swap offer too
I think unless you had a good relationship with a B & M guy they would want to offer you back of spot for it
97 kook - $1410
20 or more ASEs - 38.73 ea.
Apmex is valuing the 32.15 oz. kook at 43.86 per oz and the ASEs at 38.73 per oz. Do the math from there, but keep in mind the B&M expects to pay a lower premium than market price on the kook they are "buying" from you and expects to sell the ASEs to you at full market price.
Best bet is to call APMEX or Silvertown and see what their buy price is for the kook. You might even work out a better "trade" with them but you will need to consider shipping costs.

BTW - derryb, still kicking myself for not pulling the trigger back in July!
<< <i>Thanks for the replies. I'm glad I turned down 29, but I would have taken 30. Now I'll just sit on it.

Plenty of bullets left.
