removing sharpie from a card

apparently there are ways to remove sharpie from a glossy photo, but is it also possible to remove it from a sports card?

Take your thumb and index finger, move them toward the sharpie, make direct contact, apply equal pressure and then remove the sharpie from the card. image

nail polish remover and a q-tip works but don't use a scented type of nail polish remover

I've heard of using dry-erase makers and then erasing it with Q-Tips but when I've tried it, I've had no success.

I've used 100% acetone nail polish remover via q-tip on glossy photos. As jay0791 said, I'd experiment first on a cheap common first.

The best thing to use is a prismacolor colorless blender pen. First color over the sharpie with the colorless blender and it will break the sharpie down. Then "wipe" your blender pen on another piece of paper until it is clear again and carefully "wipe" the sharpie off off your card. Touch up any remaining sharpie with the blender pen if needed.
