i sure hope not. far as i know they always get sent back in a plastic flip from at least the top 3 TPG. this information is on the code page(s), at least for pcgs. i have not seen them on other web sites but haven't looked either. .

So- Mr. A reports you and to get even, you report Mr. B through Z? Yeah, that makes sense. Maybe you happened to get reported because of another seller who had *his* listings pulled and who wanted to get back just like you're doing? Would only seem fair, but unfortunately, the world doesn't always work that way.

I wonder if he realizes how badly he's trashed his reputation here on CU. This really deserves a thread of its' own.

Did I read Twinturbo's post correctly? I'm having a hard time swallowing that. Perhaps you have a few holes in your post, not to mention sounds a bit off topic. The OP didn't ask, who out there is trying to destroy Ebay, or other sellers on Ebay.

Twinturbo is jerking chains. Merely reporting something doesn't automatically get it pulled. CCW looks at the auction in question and if they can't come to an agreement, it stays listed. Also, ebay does not repeat the exact text of a report to anyone except CCW. If he got an auction pulled...well, let's put it this way... I'd like to see the item in question.
As to ebay now doing the "one auction at a time" thing... I like it. If you can't get bids on one auction, then there's no need for you to have 30 more identical ones up there, clogging up search listings and pushing other people's items off the page.
While I will agree with most of the poster's comments on this topic, I myself have rarely made a profit selling coins on ebay. Either I'm doing something wrong or the types of coin buyers on ebay have grown more savvy and sophisticated over the years.

I had a few items sell for under face value over the week end. I plan on seeing some of those bidders back in the coming weeks. And I hope to get rid of all those mints sets I really should not of bought years ago. .

Twinturbo might get a bunch of auctions pulled if the right mindless drone was in charge over the holiday weekend.
As to the "one auction at a time" thing. This seems ridiculous to me. They don't realize how much they are shooting themselves in the foot. When a big modern product such as silver eagles hit the market there are perhaps a dozen or more sellers such as me with dozens of auctions running at the same time. ALL OF THEM SELL. When you start a PR70 silver eagle at .99 it will sell. With so few auctions now, the buyers will have to hit Buy it Now's, which is fine with me but I think a large number of the potential buyers will find their coins elsewhere. I guess John Maben won't mind that. One thing I have noticed over the years is that some buyers are BIN types and some are auction types and often they never cross over. The auction types my find life frustrating.
I explained this to the Customer Service drone that I got on the phone the other night and he said that it was to "level the playing field." Clearly they are clueless. My guess is they want to become Amazon and would really like to eliminate auctions all together in favor of BIN.
Jerry- if all of them will sell as claimed, then this rule doesn't affect you...as soon as #1 gets a bid, #2 becomes visible, and so forth... so if the market is strong for the pieces listed, they will all sell, and at good numbers, making the argument moot. And, if one has multiples of the same identical thing and it's a hot item-frankly everyone knows fairly quickly what the market is so why don't they just put up one listing for the item with X quantity available for sale and be done with it?
As a seller, ebay's 9% Final Value Fee plus PayPal fees (not to mention their other account shenanigans) caused me to look elsewhere. Right now I'm selling on Bitmit.net with just a flat 1.90% fee. Not many users there so the true auctions end in some great deals usually. Tell me what you're looking for, maybe I'll throw it up for you.
PS. Oh yeah, they transact in bitcoin (BTC) over there, a new digital commodity, so you'll need some to buy anything. Pretty neat.

eBay's business model lends itself to the formation of a natural monopoly. Buyers want to go where most of the sellers are, and sellers want to go where most of the buyers are. It seems that eBay knows this and uses it as an excuse to continue to jack up fees and develop seller-hostile policies. Only when a competing service reaches a critical mass -- if it does -- will that change.
