Refractors?

I do not collect many modern cards, but am a huge Marino fan. I picked up a mixed lot of marino cards and it included a 1994 Finest. My question is how can you easily identify refractors from regular finest cards? I am sure there is an easy way but like I said, I do not collect many modern cards. I am betting someone here can answer this easily. Thank you in advance for the help.

Refractors have a "rainbow" like reflection when tilted under a light source. A regular Finest card will have some sheen but not a deep rainbow (multi color) like light shine. It's kind of easier to see in person versus in pictures. If you look that set up on Ebay you can see a little bit of a rainbow in certain section of the card versus the regular cards might show a flash from a camera or a light source but lack the rainbow effect... but like I said it's harder to see in pictures. Topps eventually started adding the Refractor notation to the back of the cards but the set you are asking about did not have any notations to indicate what cards were Refractors.
  • Awesome. Thanks Vlad. Mine has alot of the "rainbow" effect. I am going to sub it and see what happens. Thanks again.

You could post a picture and I could probably tell if you wanted to give that a whirl.
