Swartzenegger " I'll Be Back " for that because 1971 Topps I consider the best looking ever. No Heritage until then.

did a ton of Heritage in 2017(1968 design) and not much the last two years. Next year I will jump in time, and looking forward to the early and mid 70’s looks coming out over the next few years. Next year will be Yordan Alvarez and Acquino I would assume.

Dang straight Arnold knew what he was talking about :) The OP seems pretty cool and is definitely a time traveler.

You should have said, " I'll be Banned".

71topps heritage will be crazy the first two weeks of it's release. right now I am going to see if I can afford some of the high number action rookies this year. so far they are priced a little to high for me. maybe some of them will level out the next month.

  • nam812nam812 Posts: 10,531 ✭✭✭✭✭

I was gonna start a thread until I saw this one. Even though it was started in 2012 I think this should be the official thread.

I'm way more psyched for 2021, but with only about 4 months til release, I'm starting to get my head ready for some black borders.

  • maddux69maddux69 Posts: 2,130 ✭✭✭✭✭

Wait until they are graded and many see how tough those black borders can be. In 2013 Topps made a Cubs archives set with both season ticket holder and stadium giveaway varieties. Greg Maddux was featured on the 1954, 1963, 1971 and 1972 year cards and I snatched up multiples of every one. I sent in the best copies from each to PSA and all but one received a PSA 10, none other than one of the 1971s. I looked every other one that I had to see if it might gem and no dice. Get ready folks, PSA 9's will be the new 10's.

I jumped on the Heritage bandwagon and completed the first three sets of all sports but never went back to it. I still love all the cards but the highly short printed variations and the rest of the "stuff" that made completing a set an impossibility killed it for me. The first year there were red and black variations and of course short prints but these were all based on the specifications of the original 1952 Topps set which made chasing SP's fun but they were affordable to most set makers.

For years I had looked forward to the 2020 set that was going to feature the 1971 design but I am just not sure I can pull the trigger on this one. You guys may change my mind as the set starts to come out so I will be watching this thread closely.

I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!

Back up the loader and fill it up. this set is the bomb.

Heritage is not the Heritage it was in the 2000’s that’s for sure. But it’s still a great product. Just not epic anymore.

I just put my pre-order in for a case! I have never ordered a case but as Heritage enters the 71 and forward, I am highly interested as I love the 70s design (not a big fan of 1970 but that is behind us now!!!)

I ordered 3 cases. I have only bought a couple of boxes in the past but I just love the 1971 design.

Does anyone know of anyone who is collecting a case a year and leaving it unopened? That would be a master set!

Previous transactions: Wondercoin, goldman86, dmarks, Type2

Where does one-in-the-know go to pre-order a case?

Yes. Just wait about a month or two after it comes out and the next product is out.

It's hard, but your best bet with the production numbers increasing each year.

I see 2019 heritage discounted at the stores now and in large quantities.

When Arnold says: I'll be back !!! He's normally right.
    .

Just slicing off a bit of the larger 'new' 2020 version thread on this product.

This thread though needs to live too. I mean LOOK AT IT !!! It's eight years and old predicting THE FUTURE !

Rest of box. Unless someone see's something here, me thinks my box pretty much bit the big one.

Cards from 401 - 500 are short prints. Also, your Verlander is the "in action" variation.
