New CoinFacts "Auction History" Layout - Thoughts?

Looks like our hosts have been making some changes to improve the CoinFacts Online "Auction History" portion of the site. So far, I've found this new format is much more efficient and easier to navigate. Realized prices from live/online auctions appear on the same page as the price, population, etc of the coin you're viewing, whereas before, there was an entirely different page you were redirected to when you wanted to dig deeper into the archives.

This update is a winner in my book. How are you guys liking it? image

Here's a sample of portion of the update, for those who haven't had a chance to check it out.

I've seen this layout previously on the mobile site, but had not seen it yet from my desktop.

At first glance, I like it since it's broken out by grade already.

This is another innovation from our crack IT team. We call it "Value View".

Information is organized by specific coin and grade with easier ability to drill down into the data.

I find Value View super easy to use and it provides me the ability to quickly get to the information I need. I use it every time I'm considering buying a coin.

It's available to all PCGS Coinfacts subscribers or anyone taking advantage of our free trial.

Looks good. Are the ANACS coins no longer shown?

    ANACS.... and what about image

although I'd have no option for hide or show plus grades and just show them just for the attention. maybe the column can be thinner when there are 0 graded.

Like Tom, I have used it on the mobile version and recently noticed it on the desktop version. It is helpful. CoinFacts is a superb and irreplaceable tool and continues to get better, IMO.

A question on the figures given in the price realized on the Heritage, Sack, and Teletrade auctions is it with the juice or Hammer?

Now that is damn cool. I just love the way Coinfacts is going.

Don, take care of that "IT team". Maybe give them a vacation every year or two?

I like it very much and look foreword when the coin images come back online.
Also, Is there any way to show images of the coins that sell on Ebay?
I know and see the ones listed EB but no image reference.....which makes it difficult to judge exactly what I'm looking at other than the price.

Otherwise incredible work and yet another reason to join CoinFacts....keep up the great work!

Two thumbs up here. I noticed it yesterday evening. I've been considering letting my CF subscription slide, but it's getting to be virtually indespensible.

I like it very much and look foreword when the coin images come back online.

All the images are online. We have tens of thousands of images not counting auction archives.

I know and see the ones listed EB but no image reference

Unfortunately ebay does not maintain an auction archive so the particular lot listings, including the photos, are not available.

auctions is it with the juice or Hammer?

Prices shown are with the juice. All of the auction data fields are links. Click on any of them and you will be taken to the actual auction lot and you can check.

Are the ANACS coins no longer shown?

Only PCGS and NGC auction records are listed in Value View. If you click on the "Auctions - PCGS Graded" heading above the listed auctions it will take you to the complete PCGS Auction Archives which list all grading services as well as ungraded coins.

I've seen this layout previously on the mobile site, but had not seen it yet from my desktop.

Yes, Value View is essentially the same format as what we use for the Mobile app.

Thanks for the added information since I am in the process of lowering the number of coins in my collection and upping the value this is looking to be a valuable resource.

I should have been more image specific. The Ike page used to have Ike images on the first page, now you need to scroll down to an area click and it opens
onto another page and then you can see the Ike Proofs.

Unless my memory is going bad......which is entirely possible. I remember being able to click on the Ike Proof pages and see images
where now it says images coming soon. But.........again I could be wrongimage

Whereas, it used to be like the ASE page. You go to the Proof, year page. Click and then I get to see my Proof on the bottomimage

There is a heading called "View All Coin Images" right underneath the date - as shown under the 1971-S Silver.

Click that and you will see every image posted to Coinfacts.

CoinFacts is a great resource and the new feature only improves it. Has the highest auction price been removed? That was another feature I liked.

And yet with all this information I guarantee dealers will STILL call your coin low for the grade, dismiss all this data and offer you 40% of these prices.
  • Hello welcome to pcgs I think you will have a great time here even know you have been here longer than me but still have a great time.

It is a fantastic tool that gives one super info in one place. I have it on both my iphone and laptop. Its definitely a must have for me and a techno triumph for PCGS.

I can be anywhere looking at ebay lots on my iphone, go to CF and enter the pcgs# and instantly get info to place a bid in Auction Sniper (which I also have on my iphone). Or if recording data non new purchases from my table at a show makes recap easier.
