Agreed, that is an early generation PCI slab (noted by the ten-digit serial number and the unique font), those are known for accurate or even tight grading.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Neat coin. I wonder if it was a pocket piece or just circulated for many years.

It's very difficult to get a PO01 Columbian for many of the reasons mentioned. The Obv just doesn't wear like the Rev. And if you find one with the Obv worn down the dates gone. PCGS only has 2 in the 93 pop report and none in the 92's

Back in the day I sent my raw 09s vdb to PCI. It came back VF35. Their grading was very conservative but the slabs themselves were terrible. The coin currently resides in a PCGS EF45 holder. Personally, I always thought it was a 40.

You guys are never going to make any money trying to grade a coin don't you know that? You buy the holder with the "first strike". And if you can get a CAC sticker on top of that then your really rolling in the money. Nothing to see here move along

That's what I was thinking......separate question though I know that they accept Ike coins now, do they accept Ike proofs?
Just thought I'd wake everyone up....you new age collectors.
Now what standard should I accept for a Full Bell line? Shouldn't those be "first strikes"? After all they were the first to be stuck with new dies.........
Is it Almost UNC or About Unc? How can something be about? Isn't it either circulated or it's not?
