Lovers of Spouses...did you receive your letter?

I got mine!
A very impressive missive from the Department of the Treasury on Capitol Bond 25 % cotton stationery telling me exactly what it says on the mint's website for several months now.
I'm sure glad govenment workers are so efficient and hard-working instead of sucking the blood out of us taxpayers like those welfare bums.
Yup.
Many, many perfect transactions with other members. Ask please.

Well, not everyone who purchases Mint products uses their website. My 80-year-old father included.

Well, I'm not going to comment on letter content vs. website content same-ness

    but

to actually personally receive a snail mail letter over an e-mail or some pointer to the website shows they are concerned about the customer relationship here and how the problems they are having may impact that.

OTOH, it is a point taken that not everyone buys directly. I can only hope those from whom they buy have received "the letter" and can pass along that info. Otherwise, they also need to do this as a press release or just let the coin reporting news in on an conf call to ask questions for publication. This is certainly news worthy. I'd rather know before or during, but not after.

Still no letter. Despite the tens of thousands that I've spent at The Mint I guess that I'm not a valued customer.

mine came days after LanLord's. perhaps it is "in the mail"

there are a couple of thousand still collecting them. That's a lot of mail for people who don't do a few thousand letters a day every day.

I visited the West Point Mint only last month where the Spousal coins are normally struck and observed first hand what is going on.

I will not publicly state my observations here.

It is like all the glossy brochures I get by snail mail a month or two after I have purchased. I think if they really wanted to be efficient they would send emails to those who have on line accounts with the Mint and send letters to those who don't. I still think they do it just to support their bureaucratic "brothers" over at the Postal Service.

Our military secrets are on the front page of the New York Times but heaven forbid giving out any Mint secrets. You know "loose lips sink cents". Oh well, I was in a hurry.

It's cursed! The whole run is cursed. The deceased wife of Chester Arthur is furious their putting Alice Paul instead of her on the coin and her ghostly visitations are letting everyone know.

Aaactually I'm guessing planchet problems with spotting and toning, which is not a good look for .9999 gold. A quick peek at 2011 spouses in slabs will even show this. Coppery discolorations usually only found on .9167% gold coins.

Maybe they just found out that all the planchets since 2007 are 0.9167 Gold. Ooopsee.

despite a mintage of 3k or less, it is considered undesirable and apparently not able to be stickered!
