Regionally Issued cards

I like collecting players I know, I've seen play and that I like. But I gear my collecting towards things you just don't find everyday and I shy away from the cards that every collector has and that you can always find on any given day on an eBay search. Being a crusty, beaten down Sabres fan, I thought this was just soooo cool:

I like regional sets, too, though I'm into only football. As you said, some of the regionals are challenging to find, which adds to the fun. My favorite thing about them is that they often include players who don't appear in the major issues.

You can see examples of several of the older regional football sets here. I am still missing a few tough ones, such as 1959 and 1960 Kahn's.

Here's one player who didn't appear in a major issue, Bill Jobko. This is his 1960 Bell Brand Rams card.
