How long does it take PSA to log an order?

I put in a very small submission (6 cards with the freebie certificate) about 2 weeks ago and have not received acknowledgement that the cards were received. Is this anything I should start worrying about?

My last 3 subs were an average of 3 to 5 days.

nope psa likes to take 2 weeks now...and i have no idea cause before 2012 they were logged the day received like they should.

My 3 subs earlier this month took a day to log in.

For the month of September I sent in 3 subs. One logged in the day it was received, one logged in two days after it was received and the third one is on day 8 and no loggage. These are business days I'm talking about, not including weekends and holidays.

So, I'd say it's a crap shoot.

Something drastic has happened beginning in 2012. Not only is PSA inundated with orders, but their PSA 10 cards are going up like crazy. I spoke with a rep the other day and she told back they were beyond slammed with orders.

Use tracking number next time.

There is a link on PSA's website that you can type in the submission or tracking number to see if they received it.

My six freebies have taken a week so far to log in, but I know they have it because of USPS tracking.

In fiscal 2012 (ending June 30), PSA graded essentially the same number of cards they did in 2011 -- about 1.1 million

The average price PSA charged to grade a card in 2012 was $5.84

PSA/DNA volumes were up about 40% to an annual rate of 336,000 -- that's a big increase and I expect it takes longer to grade a PSA/DNA item.

That said, my turnaround times have been as I expected. If you want your cards back faster you simply have to pay more for that level of service.

Personally, I don't care how long it takes to log, as long as I have tracking info.
