  • I'm not an expert by any means but that may be a Clemente model bat that the University of South Carolina used for their team (or at least certain players from the team).

I was kind of wondering that, or wondering if it was a regional issue perhaps? Its still cool no matter what it is still i hope to figure out the mystery, thats the fun of it (:

I am a bat collector and cwazzy is correct. It would be a Clemente model bat made for South Carolina and their players to use in games. Many big stars model bats were sold for LS to sell. Hope this helps.

back in the day when colleges ordered bats from H&B, they would place their endorsers facsimile signature on them. here is a Mickey Mantle bat from the college I went to that I picked up at one of the Hunt Valley Forge shows for $50
