Hi error peeps! Just rec'd a 2006-P South Dakota quarter that's a smooth edge, Broadstrike, struck out of collar in ANACS 66. First is it scarce? common? Any idea its FMV? Can't say I've ever seen a smooth edge state quarter before, but I'm a greenhorn on this type of error. Thanks for your input!

I'll WAG of $20-25 on the FMV.

It is not common. It is also not a super major error, value around $25 - $50 holdered in ANACS MS 66.

Any broadstruck quarter will have a smooth edge, as it is the collar that imparts the reeding on the planchet during the strike. No collar, no reeding.
