    .
i would say people are crazy to think they would get that amount of money for something like that, but it happens every day

ebay has links to crazy prices paid for random things yet for them to buy something that will hold some sort of value and not something totally novelty and emotional,

no wonder most people have little to no wealth to speak of. the lack of appreciation how investments/hedges (certain kinds of course) can make one wealthy/wealthier

i see a few people i know do it. they often talk about the wealth-building generation, which happens to NOT be my generation, but 1 & 2 before

HaHaha--They are coasters--not coins.--unfortunately there are some idiots out there who insist that they are real coins.

  • He's also got a SLQ coaster up. Contacted and reported.

Lots of longevity in that family. His dad worked at the mint in 1877! image

THose coasters could easily have been made at the mint 15 years ago.

Clearly they are not the rare 1877 pennies and its possible that he thinks that they are (having looked up 1877 1c.
may the fonz be with you...always...

I did write the seller a "nice" message informing him the items were novelties and while depicting rare items, were not in themselves rare or valuable. I've received no response.

He may have pulled them but they are back. He now has 4 bids on them. $67+. He does not mention that they are coasters. What a rip off.

I did ask the seller what Mint his dad worked at and he said he worked at the Denver Mint. I don't think they made any IHC there.
