Unless you think the half dollar would grade MS66 or better, then it would NOT be worth getting graded by our host. I don't see any since getting a $75 - $80 coin graded with a $50 fee

Congrats on your new purchases and someone else said not all coins need a slab, I have a few errors that I really like that others have said not worth the fee, but in the end if its something you enjoy and plan to keep I say put it in a slab. Agree the cost is kinda high since they changed it. Good luck Enjoy

The half is worth far more than the $75 marked on the flip. That said, I don't see much upside in slabbing it unless you want to for personal preference. Any error collector would be proud to own that coin in its current raw state.
