Help Identifying Signed Football

I recently bought a signed Andre Johnson football but the seller didn't have any back story about where it came from. I am going to be sending it off to get the signature authenticated, but was hoping to get some help with the actual football. It has "Texans" on the side of the ball so maybe it is a practice or game ball?

That looks like AJ's sig and since the ball doesn't appear to have any wear, safe to assume it's just a team ball.

    Nice pick up.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Thanks. There is some wear on the laces, but you really can't tell from the washed out cell phone pictures. I can take some pictures with some decent lighting when I get back to the house.
  • It is a game issued football but it will be unlikely you will be able to prove it is game used. Each team is issued the footballs and it is stamped with the team name, I believe it is series 1110. The Duke footballs you buy in the store are series 1100 and have no team names stamped on them.

I figured it would be hard to prove the origin, since there was no documentation with it. Thank you for the info.
