How long should I wait for combined shipping?

I bought a couple of items and the seller advertised them as a certain price for shipping, plus $1 extra per item. So, I bought more than one item and I asked for the total. I got no results, so after three days I actually sent an ebay message. Still no response. It has been almost a week. Should I just pay the full shipping and leave negative feedback, or should I just keep waiting and waiting and waiting? It's only a couple of bucks, but it is MY couple of bucks.

  • If it were me, I would keep waiting- and if the seller filed an NPB on me I would respond to the case by informing EBay that I will promptly pay for my items as soon as the seller adheres to his own stated terms re:combined shipping.

the seller advertised them as a certain price for shipping, plus $1 extra per item.

You know what the total is so why don't you adjust the invoice and send the correct amount. There should be something near the bottom total area to add or subtract an amount from the invoice. If you can't adjust the invoice then use the send money to send him the correct amount and reference the Ebay items.
  • There is no way to adjust it (that I can find). Once upon a time that was easy, but not anymore. Paypal won't let me, because I don't know his email address. If I try to pay for it as an ebay item, they are linked and only offer ebay checkout. I guess I'll wait a couple more days and then let ebay know that I no longer wish to deal with this seller.

Invoices can't be manually adjusted by the buyer anymore.

  • I think 24 hours is a reasonable amount of time to wait for combined shipping. As a seller, I often have times when my weekly auctions end over a period over 1-2 hours. I also advertise combine shipping in my auctions, but frequently, buyers pay immediately after the auctions end, so I have not even had time to send a combined shipping invoice yet. In these cases, I end up refunding the buyer for the combined shipping discount, and then sending them an ebay message telling them that I did this.
