Delivery confirmation and not delivered

Has anyone ever run into a situation where on the USPS.com, it shows the an item was delivered but you never actually got the item?

If so, what recourse would there be?
I'm building a 1968 and a 1970 Topps set. I have lots of 1970s and 1960s to offer in trade.

They wew likely delivered to the wrong address.

Earlier this week, I received 5 packages in one day. 2 were for me. 3 were not. 2 of the mis-delivered packages had DC.

My street address is 1426. One of the packages was for 1402, or down the street. The other two were for 1426, but on a street a few blocks
away. I took them all to the PO to report the error.

Hopefully the person who got them in error will do the right thing. You might alsl ask your mail person if they remember delivering them.

I've actually had two buyers in the last week contact me to let me know the package was showing delivered but they had not received it.

I wish there were ways to get a refund on situations like this....not necessarily for the money, but just to make the USPS a little more careful when someone pays for an extra service and they still eff it up
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • I had a neighbor bring me an opened box with a couple 72 Baseball packs in it. They were graded and had no idea of the value, their daughter told me she opened it. No harm, no foul cause the girl brought it over. haha.
  • Yeah it happened to me once a few years' ago. I lost a '52 Topps Irv Noren card. The post office made an excuse that someone stole my package, but in the neighborhood I live in, it doesn't seem that likely. It would be better if they just came out and said they lost it. Since then, I believe signature confirmation is more secure, but can be a pain and somewhat impractical for anything less than $20 which that card was.
