I've never seen a bar like this before maybe someone here is interested assuming its real of course .

    Nothing I have seen before.

    The Soviets tended to conduct matters on a massive scale (except for consumer goods).

    Somehow such a small bar does not seem quite right.

    Strange indeed. I don't understand why it would have holes like that. From the pics it's pretty likely that it isn't silver, IMO.

    Now thats a cool piece. Looks like it could be a silver plating item for industrial use. Ive had some like it but with one hole on the end the long end to hang.

    That was my thought. Note the pitted areas. If you hung it by either hole, the opposite end would hang at an angle in a plating bath of some sort.

    If it had been used in plating how can you be sure the weight wasn't stamped on it before it was used? maybe its no longer an accurate weight?

    The seller had it listed at 750 or BO last time around with no takers so maybe it will get another price cut to 250image
