PSA 10 Bird/Magic on eBay

This has always been on my Bucket List

Text

Some huge red flags:

The Serial Number has been removed to prevent picture theft? Huh? Never heard of that one

He has one negative feedback, and it's a doozy that he didn't even try to dispute on his profile

The scan is weak, and doesn't give us much a picture.

Anyone know the seller or do business with him?

  • The negative is not the only negative he has received for fraud. Another seller initially posted a positive feedback for the purchase of a watch, and subsequently came back the same day, to state the watch was a replica. Two fake watches, represented as real, would scare me away from offering this guy a dime for that Bird/Magic PSA 10.
  • Seems to have plenty of positive feedback on selling other sportscards. I would'nt even think about it without the serial number.

  • Does he not provide a back scan to also prevent "picture theft"?

He also calls it the holy grail of basketball cards, while a great card I would take a high grade Mikan or the Chamberlain rookie.

plus the fact that he's relisting his Jordan 10 as well. i guess that sale didn't go well
  • There was a thread removed from the Net54 Vintage Hockey Board last month about this seller doing a trade off of ebay.

A collector sent him about 17k worth of cards for a PSA 8 Bobby Orr rookie.
The collector then received a package back from encapsulated icons, but it was an empty box.

The person said he was ripped off of 17k worth of stuff, but the thread was removed before anything was found out.

  • It now says "The Listing has ended" but I dont see any kind of explanation. Does that mean it sold? Or eBay took it off?

I see that now. I am amazed. That is now an all-time high for that card and it has doubled in a year. And when you consider the red flags along the way, seems awfully high, but good for the seller! I hope it all works out and is smooth for both parties

If this was listed in an EBAY store it shows the final price as what it was listed for and not necessarily what it sold for.

Can anyone tell if this was a store listing?

I'm pretty sure it sold for $16,000. If you do a search for "psa bird magic", one of the items is an autographed card that shows a $1,500 sale, but when you click on the item it shows that it actually sold for $1,100. But, when you click on the $16,000 card, it says $16,000.

I think you are right. A number of items on my watch list that sold recently showed the full offer price even when clicking on them.

They are now showing a lower number after clicking on the item. I am thinking this was an EBAY issue or something as I had never experienced that issue before.

I had emailed a seller who had made a very fast flip of a card saying nice job and he said it had sold for $100 but it was showing the full $175 price anyway. It now shows the $100.

I would agree after seeing these items with the lower selling price that it did indeed sell for the full offer price of $16,000.

    Very nice price for sure!
