If the 124.9 area in the WLI holds and moves higher most likely we are in the clear and our economy will continue to grow and flourish for some time to come.

If the 124.9 does not hold we are going to fall and fall hard surpassing the depths of the 2008 recession depths.

Guess where we are? you guessed it, we are at 124.9 The direction will be very clear within the next 3 months if not much much sooner.

Our economy is growing? . . . maybe for the 1%

I believe Short is referencing growth since end of last recession, but I believe we are well into the next one.

Yes, since the 2008 depths per the chart just above the WLI chart, it shows how the economy has progressed/grown. most recently however some of the indicators have begun to roll over as the chart shows.
ECRI is standing by their recession call and now states we already are in one. Hoisington also clearly states the ineffectiveness of all the fed actions thus far, and implied any further like action would be met with economic indifference.

What I perceive:

We have lived through inflation and recessions, big growth periods, and hugh devastating war. I expect that to continue with bigger swings.

Lots of jobs close to me, are offshore or filled by visitors. This appears to be most serious in my thinking. I'm struggling to keep my job.

I know of 6 people that are out of work. However, 5 of them have work ethic issues, don't work, and "collect money" and work the system. The system can't or won't detect them or remove them from the dole. The system almost seems to encourage the situation and thief by enabling it.
In contrast, the other person had been actively searching for any career related work for a year.

My tax money does not seem to be spent wisely, nor does the government seem to be able to control its spending. I feel overtaxed and want less government, and less programs, and expenses managed by fed government.

The gap between the goverment and the people is dangerously wide.

Many people I know are seriously unprepared for retirement, and do not address the issue.

Most people are unprepared for any disruption to any of the major systems (money, power, disaster).
