eBay/PP payment??

BAJJERFANBAJJERFAN Posts: 31,288 ✭✭✭✭✭
Anyone know how to undo the instant PP payment thru eBay dealie? Had I known that it would default to bank account payment with no way to change it, I'd have never gone ahead with it. This is the thingie that after you connect your 2 accounts that you can pay for eBay items with PP without having to sign in to PP.

Mine is always default to Paypal credit card which I always change it to my credit card. After you log into paypal to pay you can change payment method. Then you can change to use your bank account or other credit card.

to my knowledge paypal payments cannot be reversed by the sender. Once made they can only be reversed by paypal (on rare occasions) or refunded by the receiver.

You should be able to change it through your account profile. Another example of "convenience" being more of a headache. And no wonder they default the payments
using the bank account method method--less chance of a chargeback by the buyer..

I don't wish to reverse a payment. There is a thing now that you can press one button in eBay and the item is paid for without ever logging into PP. I want to undo that. Does eBay even have live reps online anymore?

I thought that the initial default is that it uses money in your paypal account. It only uses your bank account or whatever CC you picked if there was no money in the paypal account.

I want the CC reward points for one and I don't always have enough cash in the linked bank account for another. If they have to transfer $$ they whack me a fee. I don't see anywhere to change it. I wonder if changing my PP password will kill it.

Not sure if ebay can answer or if you need to ask through paypal.

You might try ebay the customer support from this:

I have an arrangement with my bank that if there isn't enough $$ in my linked checking they will automatically transfer from savings to cover it. When I switched over the other day, the payment came from a CC so I assumed it would default to that.
