Per The Fielding Bible, the worst defensive position for 2012, by far, has been the Brewers' 2nd Basemen. Competition is much closer in the AL. The contenders are the O's and Mariners CFs, the Royals and Tigers RFs, and the Yankees SSs. Side note, of the seven worst defensive teams in the A.L., six are in the playoff hunt. In the N. L., the eight best teams are in the hunt, and the bottom five have no chance (Pirates do in theory).
