Vintage box/case suggestions

So I have been looking around BBCE at the various boxes and cases of baseball cards mostly. I just started collecting again this year. I stopped collecting around 1999 I guess. I would really like to try a few boxes from 2000 to maybe 2010 to see some of the stuff I missed out on.

Really looking for something with cool inserts and neat looking cards. Also want to miss any redemptions as well. Some of the Heritage boxes from Topps and Bowman have caught my eye as well as several others.

Anyways just looking for some suggestions. What are some of you guys favorite products from this time range?

  • You can't go wrong with any of the Heritage or Ginter issues. Two of my personal favorites where the Donruss Diamond King series and the Upper Deck Masterpieces Series. Great sets with great art.

Agree with Heritage and A&G. The first A&G set (2006) is probably the best one but you can't really go wrong with any of them. 2001 and 02 Heritage are great. 2009 Heritage is a personal favorite). Regular Topps sets are all the same from this past 12 years (except 2007 - that's a good looking set). Every Upper Deck issue from 2000 forward blends together for me. I liked the Goudey sets they put out though. I think they were just 07 and 08.

    LOL you may be right.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I hope to hear some more. I will look into some of the products mentioned so far.

This is the key statement. I think many of the issues mentioned have some of the higher $$ cards as redemptions. Maybe some of the pack busting experts can shed some light on which issues have most of the $$ cards inserted into packs, and which you'll get shafted on.

Yea, thats what I would like to avoid if possible. There is nothing worse than pulling an expired redemption for one of your autographs or hits.

Anymore suggestions. I plan on looking some more tonight if my internet is back up at home.
