What do you look for at the National?

Me and one of my buddies are thinking about setting up at next years National Convention and I was wondering what type of stuff sells well and what people are looking for? We would be setting up mostly for fun and just to say that we did it, but of course making a few bucks would be nice as well.....any advice?

Prices cheaper than eBay and dealers that will talk to you.

I noticed high end commons from 70s or before sold well. Also mid to high grade, graded 60s or earlier cards. Just price things slightly below ebay prices and you should be able to make a little money. And the most important thing, be nice and personable to everyone that comes to your table. Dealers with bad people skills was my biggest complaint of the national this past year.

There were several dealers with bad people skills and cards priced higher than book. If you're going to do it, I would suggest that you have a great time, be nice to customers, and price your cards fairly. I would not go in expecting to make much, if any, money. That's just my opinion, though.

Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.
