Anyone else getting this crappy new ebay browsing screen?

Seems like once in a while I get into a "preview" group on ebay.

I'm getting a new browsing screen that's just awful -- takes much longer to load and has an "ending soon" or "new listing" banner across way too many listings.

The banners are so big that they materially obstruct the images.

It's only happening on one of my three computers -- the one I use the most.

The ebay customer service rep I got had no idea -- thought it was a java issue.

I've experienced this in the past and had a link at the bottom to "opt out" or something similar.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I'm getting it also, I know what you mean. Seems like when ever I get used to something new it changes again.

Sorry, but I don't have any answers for you though!

Me too, but also just every once in awhile. I thought maybe my view settings were changed, but that isn't the case. I don't know either.

It's been happening for three days -- I posted this message and it stopped within 5 minutes.

No idea how or why it stopped.

The problem I am getting now is, once I view an auction, I cannot view it again. The little timer just keeps spinning. Sometimes I can hit the refresh button and it will load again, but most times, not. So what this means is, after I go through hundreds of cards and place what I like into my watch list, I cannot go back for a closer view. It sucks. It happens on my home PC, my laptop, and most of the times on my work PC. This leads me to believe it's an ebay issue. ANyone else?

I'm having all kinds of issues including that new browsing search screens that are awful. I was so frustrated I called and stayed on hold with E-Bay customer service and they told me they were rolling out a new upgrade. It is more of a downgrade if you ask me and they told me to use the "tell us what you think" link to send them my complaints. It is not user friendly at all for me.

I have been getting that new screen for about a week, plus I no longer get the option to check "search by description" so
I only get to search on the title.

On my laptop, nothing has changed.

It makes no sense, I do not like the new screen

Don't mean to over-dramatize but the new format really does suck.

Yes....sucks, can they stop trying to improve the site constantly. A pig with lipstick is still a pig!

To do an advanced search and search by description click on the icon that looks like a gear in the upper right corner.

Funny...I have been having the same problem and just called Ebay and the rep. acted like he didn't know what i was talking about and said he knew nothing about a new upgrade that they were testing!!!

Another example of what's going on . . .

I often browse listings - ending soonest - 200 listing on a page.

ebay now has a banner (dont know what they call it) over each listing image that reads "ENDING SOON" - they use "NEWLY LISTED" on the other side

The size of the ENDING SOON image is well over 1/2 Mb -- in some cases over 1,000 times the size of the listing image.

Given that, each page must now load a superfluous 100+ Mb of data

I have a request into ebay's mktg dept to be removed from the test -- If I'm successful I'll pass on the process.
