My local minor league team, the Asheville Tourists, just won the South Atlantic League championship tonight. They had the best regular season record in ALL of minor league baseball and they won the championship 3 games to 1 (best of 5 series). My favorite player didn't have a great series but did homer in his first at bat this game and got two walks (one intentional). The last two games were away but I did see the first two in the series, one of which was a 10-0 rout until the 9th inning with 2 outs.
