Exciting new rookie card set in Registry!

Just added today, a set that I beleive will be very popular.
Hall of Fame Players Complete Rookie Set.
We have had the Post War Players Rookies, but now they have added a Pre War side to make it more complete. The Pre War side composition is much like the Post War in the sense that they are using major manafactures cards instead of every regional, post card, minor league, candy & food, etc... issues. Now this will cause some debate because sometimes they will not be the players first card, but a lot of thought & time has gone into developing this composition, and I think they have done an excellent job. If you were to include every players true first card, it would be almost impossible to complete the set as some have zero to 5 PSA cards graded.
You can see some opinions in the PSA Set Registry Forum, under the Pre War HOF Rookies thread.
But, take a look, I think it will be extreamly popular in the future.

edit: and a huge +1 for any set with pichers (scans/pictures for those that don't speak Rubenese)

Also thanks to Geordie for linking my set, but this isn't really about my set. It's more to let you all know that PSA has added this set to the Registry.
Even though it was nice being #1 for a few hours, I am now down to #2. I am sure I will be down to about #50 within a week or so. But this, along with my Post War HOF Rookies, will be something I will continue to build the rest of my life. If, by some chance, I live longer than expected & complete this set, than I will Upgrade!!!!!
Why let someone else (PSA) create the blueprint for you collection? Why not spec out your own collection? That way there's no debate, and you're not just buying cards off a list that someone else made.

<< <i>You're right, there are a lot of debatable cards in that list.

That's a good question & I guess I have to kind of start at the begining to answer. How this all began was after I started collecting the Post War HOF Rookie set, I wanted to include pre-war. Since there was not one started in the registry, I put in for one. I was contacted and told that for the post-war players, they would use the same composition as for the already established Post War HOF Rookie set, but that I need to give them a list for the pre-war. I used VCP to help me aquire the true first cards of these players and turned the list in to PSA. After thinking more about the list and thinking that the post war & pre war parts should in some way, have the same principle, I submitted another list. Remember, in the already established post war composition, there are about 10 cards that are not true rookies, PSA is going with only major manafactures. So shouldn't the pre war side go with just major manafactures? Also on the 1st list, I realized that many of the true rookie or first cards have populations of zero to 9. Now, I want this set to collect for myself, but I also wanted a set that would be popular on the Registry. Even at a low grade, it would almost be impossible to put a true rookie set together.
Now after I submitted the 2nd list, I signed up to be a board member. Than I read a thread about a pre war HOF rookie set in the PSA Set Registry forum. That forum is currently near the top of the page over there right now so you can see how it evolved since.
To quickly sum up what it says there, there was a lot of debate over which cards should be used. If I could do it over, I would have gone to that forum first. But after that, all I could do was to wait for PSA to decide on the composition.
I know it's not perfect, but it would not have been perfect no matter what. Everybody has their ideas on how it should be. Once we get the wrong player errors corrected, I think this will be a very popular set in the future. I know the Big Boys will enter because there are so many T 206's, 1933 Goudeys and N cards.
If anybody wants a 100% true first card, rookie card HOF set, than put in for it just as i did. I think the truth is that very few would attempt a set like that, but they will sit and complain about a set they have no intentions of even starting!
I noticed Lajoie's RC is listed as '33 Goudey. He was also in the T206 set so I'd move him there.
<< <i>I'm surprised PSA approved this list. 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth rookie card? Unbelievable. >>
... just thinkin.. Bloody hole...
Nevermind chum, what you do with your hole is your biz.
Edit: This list makes no sense. How can the 1916 m101-5 Sisler be included yet not the Ruth from the same issue?
