If I have coins conserved at NCS, will the sniffer detect residue and prevent the coins from being graded?

What residue? There shouldn't be any on the coin.

FWIW, the Sniffer is routinely used with Secure Plus. It is only rarely used for regular submissions (when PCGS suspects something, e.g.).

I don't think anything gets past Sniffer, but I would ask NCS. I believe Sniffer is looking for chemical residue.

Well, I would hope there wouldn't be anything a super sniffer could detect. I'm just asking.

to be specific, it isn't whether the sniffer detects anything, it is if the sniffer detects anything past a pre-determined tolerance per sector and in total sectors sniffed and it probably even makes a

difference what is detected

there are a few videos on youtube that explain it quite well, probably on the pcgs web site as well, and if you dig deep enough, probably a number of blogs
