that you had stumbled upon the current series your working on long ago 
It's a thought that comes to mind for me a lot when paging through older auction catalogs for research.
A few are sales that I actually attended but unfortunately just had no interest at the time as I was engrossed in other areas.

Have you considered that you are now collecting a series you will later discard when you stumble on a different love you regret not collecting today?

However I am especially glad I got out of one series in 2007 before values declined sharply.

Nowadays tho, the internet and quality photography via the internet has changed the game so much that it makes the current time fairly awesome.

Yes, youth is a great time to start learning anything. When you are young
and don't really have any money, you are forced to just observe
and study and maybe buy a few "cheap lessons" that stick in
your mind forever!
I really wish I would have stuck to my plan of saving a new roll
of quarters every year since the late 1960s
