i have thought of a nice way to explain why some of us prefer not to be targeted for unsolicited marketing threads like this one. (the one that was deleted while making this post)

we see ourselves as high school girls, and the advertisers/self-marketers are the high school boys. need i say more. image

it is slightly abusing the fact so many of us choose to come here with our experience and money and prefer not to have targets on us if that helps explain some of the severe reactions.

there is probably an appropriate place for advertising/self-marketing on this forum, this place not being it.

now if we choose to share sites and information with each other, that is another matter entirely.
