Judd-1 Pollock-1 PCGS MS67 Ex Garrett Collection Sells for $5,000,000.00+
Since the 1933 are deemed illegal to own that makes this coin the highest valued coin that sold for a USA issue, no?
I haven't tried to obtain images for this particular coin but I'll post a link to a ms61 that sold for nearly $1.2 million.

No. The King Farouk 1933 $20 which sold for $7 million is quite legal to own.

yeah, purchased by an anonymous bidder at a government sponsored auction...never picked up...instead, encased in glass at the Smithsonian. i bet the government owns it.

I haven't heard that theory before, the US government received 50% of the proceeds of the sale price after a settlement was reached with the consignor and his agent (and jail time avoided).

i see, i just took it out of context. now i see what you mean and no for what goal i am attempting to accomplish any USA issue will do so long as it is legal to own which has nothing to do with right or wrong, just our law(s).

a lot of the reasons/lunacy that leads me to compile the things i do i prefer to keep in the recesses and safety of my mind and thusly will often times not make sense to others, not having all the
